Meet Olga, one of my favorite English student success stories.
I love success stories, don't you? My English student Olga is one of them, that's for sure. That's her in the pic above. Olga started taking English lessons with me in Oct. 2019. I can't believe it's been 3 years already! When she started, she had just been promoted from working solely in her home country of Mexico to working with facilities in the US and Mexico. She was concerned that her English wasn't up to par and she wanted to improve her proficiency so she could feel confident communicating with her American boss and her American coworkers. She was especially nervous about speaking English on conference calls. We all know how nerve-wracking it is to speak another language on the phone! I was able to help her gain confidence while improving her English pronunciation, grammar, and syntax. After working with me and another English teacher, Olga told us some fantastic news.
She had been promoted to working in the US exclusively! That was her ultimate goal, and she accomplished it!
Now she runs workshops entirely in English for women in business and leads environmental health and safety teams across the US. She is quite a businesswoman, wouldn't you agree?!
