Meet your language guide, a traveler turned teacher with a contagious passion for languages and a knack for helping students discover their hidden linguistic talents.

I'm not just a teacher; I'm your personal guide to mastering Spanish, English, and Italian, empowering you to converse like a native in a mere 90 days or less. My journey into the world of languages began with an insatiable wanderlust, leading me to explore new cultures and immerse myself in their unique tongues.
​
In 2017, after managing an English language institute in Lima, Peru, I decided to take my passion one step further and founded Amidon Studios. As a certified Spanish and English teacher with over 20 years of experience, I've witnessed the transformative power of language learning firsthand. Nothing beats the look of pure joy on a student's face when they finally grasp a concept or confidently utter a foreign phrase.
My academic background includes a Master of Applied Anthropology from the University of Maryland, a certificate in Intercultural Education from the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional in Mexico City, and published papers on anthropology and second language acquisition.

Just like the teachers I've handpicked to join my team, I'm a polyglot myself, fluent in English, Spanish, and French, with Italian and Portuguese currently on my linguistic bucket list. When I'm not teaching or expanding my linguistic horizons, you'll find me tending to my garden, paddling my kayak, or embarking on new adventures around the globe. (That's me, basking in the Cuban sun in Havana!)

Meet Lilia, our linguistic powerhouse who's not just a teacher but a globetrotter and a language enthusiast. She's our certified online English and Spanish teacher, and she also moonlights as a translator, effortlessly switching between languages like a chameleon.
Lilia's a true polyglot, fluent in English, Spanish, and French, and she's currently adding Italian to her repertoire, guided by our very own Italian teacher, Elena. With her vast language skills and passion for teaching, Lilia's lessons are a whirlwind of fun and engagement.

She used to call London her home but now resides in the vibrant city of Lima, Peru. Lilia's been a part of our team since 2015, sharing her linguistic expertise and infectious enthusiasm with our students. In 2021, she took on the role of our wonderful director, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Lilia's a true gem, a language expert, and a dedicated teacher who's always up for a new challenge. With her passion for languages and her ability to connect with students of all ages, Lilia is sure to make your language learning journey a fun and rewarding experience.
ELENA GAMBA
Meet Elena, our certified Italian and English teacher who's not just a language expert but a globetrotting adventurer. She's recently added the title of Cambridge English examiner to her impressive resume, proving her dedication to language mastery.

With a heart full of wanderlust, Elena has called Milan, London, and Lima, Peru, her home, soaking up each city's unique culture and language. But her thirst for knowledge doesn't stop there – she's currently learning Spanish under the guidance of our very own Spanish teacher, Lilia.
When she's not teaching or learning languages, Elena transforms into a passionate tour guide, leading eager travelers on unforgettable journeys around the world. Her enthusiasm for exploring new cultures and sharing her knowledge is contagious, making her a true citizen of the world.
Elena has been an invaluable member of our team since 2013, bringing her expertise, passion, and adventurous spirit to our language classes. With her infectious energy and love for languages, Elena is sure to make your learning journey a fun and enriching experience.
SHEILLA ANTÓN
Say hello to our Spanish for Kids teacher, Sheilla! She's not just your average teacher—she's a child development specialist with a treasure trove of experience working with young minds. She recently swapped the bustling streets of Lima, Peru, for the sunny shores of Boynton Beach, FL, bringing her infectious energy and love for teaching with her.
Before joining our team in 2020, Sheilla was busy running her own child development center in Lima, proving she's not just a teacher but a true leader in the field of early childhood education.
With a heart full of passion and a head brimming with knowledge, Sheilla is ready to ignite your child's love for the Spanish language and all things Peru!
PAULINA SÁENZ
Meet Paulina, our online Spanish and Italian teacher who's not just a language expert but a true citizen of the world. She hails from the vibrant city of Guadalajara, Mexico, but her heart belongs to the world.
She spent 11 years in the charming city of Florence, Italy, soaking up the culture and language like a sponge. And until last year, she was basking in the sun-kissed city of Chula Vista, CA. Now, she's back in her hometown, ready to share her passion for languages with you.
Paulina joined our team in 2022, and since then, she's been bridging cultures and opening doors to new worlds through her engaging and fun-filled lessons.
With her infectious enthusiasm and expertise in both Spanish and Italian, Paulina is the perfect guide to help you master these beautiful languages and discover the rich cultures behind them.
